Re: The official English Thread, yeahh XD
Well, I recently read something that made quite an impression to me, kinda opening my eyes because it's really true.. It was like
"Where your journey goes is not decided by where the wind blows from, but by the way you set your sails."
Guess that's something you should keep in mind in your life. And that's what I try to.
Something else I always used to think of was
"What doesn't kill you just makes you stronger."

I'd say I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not. I excel at not giving a shit. Experience has taught me that interest begets expectation, and expectation begets disappointment, so the key to avoiding disappointment is to avoid interest. A equals B equals C Equals A, or whatever.

Hm, maybe even that has it's positive side. If you underwent such times you really know what life means. I think we often do not really see the heaviness of our life.
And it's sad to see that many people can't escape from such situations. They're dying in their loneliness.

If you want to take this example, yes. Yesterday I watched a documentation (Legenden) about Rex Gildo. Same story here.

It's controversial whether Rex Gildo jumped from the balcony to kill himself or not. The documentation discussed the possibility that he jumped down because he was in panic. If you reconsider the facts this seems possible as well.

It could be called accident as well, if it wasn't suicide. Never mind, that's an endless discussion
So, another topic: do you often read english books or do you prefer the german one?

Re: The official English Thread, yeahh XD
I read 2 English books so far (school excluded), one I bought on holiday a few years ago (a crimte story), and the last volume of Harry Potter. I decided to try to buy all my books in English from now on, thinking about not allowing my school-English to get rusty so fast and knowing I'm gonna need it in the later part of my study.
German ones are still (not by far anymore) easier to read for me, meaning that I sometimes don't have the nerves to open an English book in bed at night before sleeping because I still gotta do some thinking, but it's fun, and there are only very little detailish parts I wouldn't understand in an English book that I'd see in a German one.

I read one English book so far ! It has been the book "Of Mice and Men" from Jon Steinbeck. I read it for school in the 12. class.

Re: The official English Thread, yeahh XD
So, another question that appears in my mind would be: do you feel foreign when reading or speaking english or are you familiar with it? So it's like one of your natural languages?
I'm not antipathetic reading or speaking english things (especially things that have to do with the computing sector) but I'm currently not absolutely familiar using it. I think that's the case because I've never been in an native english speaking country (the USA would be a dream, but hey - life is still young

Wow, what a wonderful idea. Yes, I would enjoy travelling to the USA, so we could may keep that at the back of our mind. With one exception: we should maybe exclude the part with the 'dish-washers'
